The Management & Ownership step identifies the people and entities that manage, own, or control your business. Ryno uses this information to complete required business verification and compliance checks.

Who should be added

Depending on your business structure, you may need to add:
One person may hold more than one role. For example, a director may also be a shareholder and ultimate beneficial owner.

Before you begin

For each required stakeholder, have the following ready:
  • Full legal name
  • Date of birth
  • Nationality
  • Country of residence
  • Residential address
  • Email address and phone number
  • Role in the business
  • Ownership percentage, where applicable
  • Government-issued identification
  • Proof of address, where requested

Add a stakeholder

1

Select Add Stakeholder

Choose the option to add a director, shareholder, beneficial owner, or other supported stakeholder.
2

Enter personal information

Provide the person’s full legal name and other requested personal details.
3

Enter contact information

Provide a valid email address and phone number.
4

Enter residential address

Enter the person’s current residential address.
5

Select the stakeholder role

Choose one or more roles held by the person.
6

Enter ownership information

Where the person is a shareholder or beneficial owner, enter the ownership percentage requested by the form.
7

Provide identification details

Enter the required identity document information and upload the document where prompted.
8

Save the stakeholder

Review the information and select Save or Add Stakeholder.

Personal information

Enter all details exactly as they appear on the stakeholder’s identity document. Fields may include:
  • First name
  • Middle name
  • Last name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender, where required
  • Nationality
  • Country of birth
  • Country of residence
Name or date-of-birth differences between the form and the identity document may delay verification.

Residential address

Provide the stakeholder’s current residential address. This may include:
  • Country
  • State, region, or province
  • City
  • Street address
  • Postal or ZIP code
Where proof of address is required, the address entered should match the uploaded document.

Roles and responsibilities

Select every role that applies to the stakeholder. Examples include:
  • Director
  • Shareholder
  • Ultimate beneficial owner
  • Authorised signatory
  • Account administrator
Adding all applicable roles to the same stakeholder record helps avoid duplicate entries.

Ownership percentage

For shareholders and beneficial owners, enter the percentage of the business owned or controlled by the stakeholder. The combined ownership information should accurately represent the business’s ownership structure.
Ryno may require information for individuals who directly or indirectly own or control a significant share of the business.

Corporate shareholders

If a shareholder is another company or legal entity, you may need to provide:
  • Legal entity name
  • Registration number
  • Country of incorporation
  • Ownership percentage
  • Details of the individuals who ultimately own or control that entity
The onboarding process may require you to continue through the ownership chain until the ultimate individual owners are identified.

Identification documents

Depending on the stakeholder’s country and role, accepted identification may include:
  • International passport
  • National identity card
  • Driver’s licence
  • Other supported government-issued identification
The document should be:
  • Valid and unexpired
  • Clear and readable
  • Fully visible
  • Free from glare or obstruction
  • Consistent with the information entered in the form

Politically exposed person declaration

Where shown, answer the politically exposed person declaration accurately. A stakeholder may be asked whether they:
  • Hold or have held a prominent public position
  • Are closely associated with a politically exposed person
  • Are an immediate family member of a politically exposed person
A politically exposed person declaration does not automatically prevent approval. It may result in additional compliance review.

Manage stakeholder records

After adding a stakeholder, you may be able to:
  • View the stakeholder’s details
  • Edit the stakeholder
  • Add another role
  • Replace an uploaded document
  • Remove the stakeholder before submission
Review the stakeholder list before continuing to ensure that all required people and entities have been included.

Check your ownership structure

Before moving to the next step, confirm that:
  • All directors have been added.
  • All required shareholders have been added.
  • Ultimate beneficial owners have been identified.
  • Ownership percentages are accurate.
  • Identity details match the supporting documents.
  • Duplicate stakeholder records have been removed.

You can review and update stakeholder information before submitting the final onboarding application.
